In previous emails I told you how savvy financial advisors should welcome this "uncertain era."

Financial salespeople and other advisors offering "thin levels of service" are running around crying that the sky is falling and that the advisory business is horrible right now.

But it is decidedly NOT the end of the world.

In fact, for financial advisors committed to offering fully comprehensive financial services, this period of uncertainty reppresents a platinum opportunity.  As the song goes "these are the good 'ol days."

Successful advisors know this period is an opportunity to ramp-up services and hone the skills you'll need, reengineer your business, and upgrade your processes so that everything will run, as I'm fond of saying, like a "Swiss Watch."

On my webinar Tuesday, I will cover my 5 tips on what the new playing field will look like for financial advisors...and what you'll need to win on that field.
Space is limited, but you may still register for our practice management webinar (details below) at:

Also on our webinar Tuesday I will firmly set the "go live" date and time of our turn-key practice management operating system for financial advisors committed to offering fully comprehensive financial services to their clients.

Even after nearly a year of great ideas coming from our crème de la crème financial advisor beta group, I have gotten tons of great ideas from the survey I sent to a select group of 863 financial advisors just 3 weeks ago. I addressed many of the current issues faced by advisors in the trenches in the 56 page report "Ramping It Up" (which you can still download at no cost here:
http://tinyurl.com/resultsAug29)

On Tuesday's webinar, these "5 tips" are directly a result of the key issues from our Fall 2009 Financial Advisor Survey.  The practice management advice I will focus on the top five "needs for support" as reported by advisors within the last few weeks:

1. Building and managing a Deliverables Team
2. Checklist driven comprehensive services
3. Committing to implement & stay on-track
4. Documenting all your processes in writing
5. Develop services worthy of more compensation

Join us for this "roll up your sleeves" practice management webinar;  I will take your questions as well.

I'm not the expert on this Peter, but I have done this. The steps are these (I think):
1. go to the "webinar audio" link above and "right click" on it.

2. depending upon your browser (Internet explorere, Firefox, safari, etc) you'll probably see an option that looks like "save target as" or "save link as" which will allow you to pick a place on your hard drive to download & save the MP3.

3. once it downloads, open your iTunes program.

4. Go to File > Add File To Library & select the MP3 you just downloaded.

5. Once you click "Open" it's now in your iTunes library & once you attach your iPod you can drag it from your library to your iPod.

YOU SHOULD NOW BE ALL SET! - Mark

In 1999 I was ready to leave the financial services industry; not because I wasn’t financially successful (I had built a multi-six figure business), but because I was overwhelmed. I had waaay too many clients & worked 84 hours per week. Rather than quit my business, I decided to try one last thing: I became passionate about relentlessly creating and implementing organized documented systems and processes into my practice. I was able to reduce my workweek to 3 days a week while quadrupling my income to well over $1 million per year of predictable recurring revenue.
