If You Accept: Your Role as Knights Templar

Creating a Deliverables Team who understands the Values-Based Financial Planning™ and building an Ideal Client Community by Referral only.

Bill Bachrach created Values-Based Financial Planning™,  and The Trusted Advisor Toolkit™ is well- designed to implement that methodology.  (As a matter of fact, Mark Little, the founder of the toolkit, utilized Values-Based Financial Planning™ as he built the toolkit.  It still utilized that powerful methodology today.) Implementing Values-Based Financial Planning™ means creating a Deliverables Team who understands the philosophy and embraces the concept of building an Ideal Client Community by Referral only.

The Trusted Advisor carefully chooses and incorporates Deliverables Team Members who are supportive of Values-Based Financial Professional philosophy in order to provide the type of service promised to Clients by the Trusted Advisor.

A key component of the philosophy of the Trusted Advisor is the role of guardian of the Client’s Financial Road Map®. As a  Values-Based Financial Planning™ Professional in the Commitment To Hire, you promised to provide Comprehensive Financial Services. (Fully explained in the See Commitment To Hire Conversation in Module 8 of The Trusted Advisor Toolkit™.)

Clients have entrusted you, the Trusted Advisor, with their financial matters and spelled out on their Financial Road Map® what they want to achieve, thereby laying at your feet the responsibility to help actualize their Financial Road Map®.
You carry that burden, and it is substantial: large enough that carrying it alone is unwise.

In the Indiana Jones movie, The Last Crusade, guarding the precious treasure was left to a group of Knights, the number of which had dwindled to one. But he knew his mission, knew he needed help, and was grateful when Indy showed up. Be like that knight: clear that your mission is to guard your Clients’ Financial Road Maps® and grateful that you can solicit others to help you fulfill that mission.

Only a fully functioning Values-Based Financial Planning™ Business and its Deliverables Team can ensure the Trusted Advisor fulfills on the promise that Values-Based Financial Planning™ offers to you and your clients.

Unless you, as Trusted Advisor, are part of a large organization that provides support services to you – in essence a Deliverables Team within your company - you must build a Deliverables Team of your own.

Mark McKenna Little Speaker, Author & Trusted Advisor. In 1999 I was ready to leave the financial services industry; not because I wasn’t financially successful (I had built a multi-six figure business), but because I was overwhelmed. I had waaay too many clients & worked 84 hours per week. Rather than quit my business, I decided to try one last thing: I became passionate about relentlessly creating and implementing organized documented systems and processes into my practice. I was able to reduce my workweek to 3 days a week while quadrupling my income to well over $1 million per year of predictable recurring revenue.
