Are You Holding Back from Offering More Comprehensive Financial Services?

Implementing fully comprehensive services isn’t overwhelming when you approach it with a step-by-step strategy

Best strategy for implementing comprehensive servicesNo doubt you’ve heard the expression, “If it’s not broke, don’t fix it.” While that may be true in many cases, should it apply to your financial business model?

Let’s assume you have a business methodology that has brought you clients and income from the work you do for those clients. So, we can say that your financial business is working for you. It isn’t broken.

However, let me ask you these questions:

  • Do you also have inner satisfaction that you’re giving your clients the very best comprehensive financial services possible?
  • Do you have the ability to give all of your clients the attention they deserve?
  • Do you get to take time off from work to spend in pursuits that are important to you?
  • Do you see areas in your business and life that you want to change?

If you answered, “Yes” to any of these questions maybe it’s time to seriously think about creating a fully functioning Values-Based Financial Planning office.

Are you worried it’s going to be overwhelming or time-consuming, thereby interfering with your ability to care for your current clients? It won’t be if you have a strategy!

The key is to do it in a sequential step-by-step manner. (That’s what we recommend within the TrustedAdvisorToolkit™.) Each step should build upon a previous step while leaving ample time on your calendar for other activities, like meeting with current clients and even acquiring new clients that fit your ideal profile.

The first stage will simply involve implementing a structured and methodical annual meeting cycle for all your ideal clients.  Regardless of how well-established your practice is, this initial step will create a foundation for the delivery of all the comprehensive financial services you envision, including those your clients already enjoy.

As you implement the new concepts, you should expect the operations in your firm to begin immediately improving as written documented processes are installed for literally every function in your practice. (Get a feel for how your office can be more productive and efficient by reading the free report, Three Master Steps to Total Office Control.)

Don’t give up before you even start to try.  A step-by-step strategy allows for your practice to experience notable leaps in service every step of the way. Your clients will notice positive changes and enhanced services right away.

Mark McKenna Little Speaker, Author & Trusted Advisor. In 1999 I nearly left the financial services industry, forever. I had built a multi-six figure business but I was killing myself working 84 hours per week trying to serve waaay too many clients on a transaction basis. Rather than quitting I decided to try one last completely radical idea: I crafted an entirely different business model focused on delivering TRULY comprehensive financial services. And it worked! I reduced my workload to just 3 days per week while quadrupling my business to well over $1 Million per year of predictable recurring revenue.
